When an assignment includes a Free Response Question (FRQ), students can type and format their response in the text box and attach audio and image files.
Students can attach video or audio files by selecting the Add Media button or the link icons above the text box.
Students' responses will be saved and viewable if they move on to the next question or exit the assignment and return later.
When a student submits an FRQ, it is not scored right away. The response goes to you to grade, and the student sees a message that the grade isn't available yet. Their grade and score stay blank until you release them.
Students can still submit the rest of the assignment while an FRQ is waiting to be graded. Their other questions are not affected.
Once you release the grade, the assignment is highlighted in the student's assignment list. Students open it to see their score, the rubric criteria, feedback on each part, and your overall comment.
