Option 1: Quickly assign a single FRQ.

  1. From the subject guide, select Free Response and then find the free-response question that you would like to assign.

  2. Next to the question title, click the vertical ellipses and select Assign.

  3. Assign the FRQ to your selected class or students.

Option 2: Create and assign custom assignment folders that include FRQs, as well as other types of questions.

  1. From the subject guide, find the free-response question that you would like to assign.

  2. Next to the question title, click the vertical ellipses and select Save to Folders.

  3. Either create a new folder or select an existing folder to add the FRQ.

  4. [Pro-Tip]: FRQs may be added to folders with multiple choice questions as well.

Option 3: Use the Assignment Builder and search by standard.

  1. From the Assignment Builder, search by standard to find standards-aligned questions.

  2. Select the "Free Response" Question Type to filter for FRQs.

Option 4: Use the Assignment Builder and search by subject or topic.

  1. From the Assignment Builder, search by Subjects and Topics.

  2. Click the Choose Subjects dropdown in the top left corner, then search for a subject. You can then select one or multiple subjects to filter by.

  3. Select the FRQ tab at the top to see all FRQs from the subject.

Note: While students can write their responses to FRQs directly within Albert, we currently do not have an option to grade students' FRQ responses within the platform. We recommend reviewing their responses and adding the grade directly to your grade book or LMS.
