Teachers often wish to provide differentiated assignments to students. Albert allows you to accomplish this by sending assignments to specific students.
If you are creating a new assignment, select your questions via Assignment Builder, then click Assign.
Click Add Class and select the relevant class(es).
Select the dropdown arrow next to any classroom to view students.
All students enrolled in the class will automatically be selected. Uncheck the boxes next to each student's name if you do not want them to receive the assignment. Alternatively, uncheck the box next to All Students then check any student who should receive the assignment.
On the right side of the screen, select your default settings, including due date, time limit, etc.
To edit these settings for any individual student, click Customize next to the student's name.
If you have already created an assignment and would like to re-assign it to particular students, follow these steps:
Click Classes.
After locating the class containing the assignment, click View Class.
Find the assignment, and click Actions.
Select Re-assign
This will bring you to the Choose Recipients page. From there, click the Select students dropdown arrow under your class name. The dropdown will reveal all the students in your class, and you can pick and choose which students will receive the assignment.
Once you choose the specific students, click Next and select the appropriate settings.
[Pro-tip]: You can add custom settings for a student on an existing assignment, for example to extend the due date for a student or give them additional time. Learn how to do this here.
