How Adaptive Practice Works

When you start practicing a skill, you’ll begin at the unranked level. As you answer questions, you’ll move through three proficiency levels:

  • Beginner: The questions are easier to help you build confidence.

  • Intermediate: Questions get trickier as you improve.

  • Advanced: These are the most challenging questions.

Every time you answer enough questions correctly, a pop-up modal will appear, explaining your new goal and resetting your attempt meter.

If you get a lot of questions wrong, don’t worry! We’ll guide you in refreshing the skill at a lower level, allowing you to review the basics and continue growing.

Answering Questions:

  • At the start of each skill, you’ll see the objective, like “Get 7 correct answers in the window to achieve the next mastery badge.

  • Green circles at the bottom of your screen will help you track your progress toward the next mastery badge.

  • Read the question carefully and select the answer you think is correct. Then click Submit Answer.

  • Review the correct answer and explanation to strengthen your understanding.

  • When you’re ready, click Next Question to continue practicing.

Tracking Your Own Progress

As you practice, Albert helps you see how you’re doing:

  • Your Level: Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced shows your current proficiency for each skill. This tells you how far you’ve come and what challenges are ahead.

  • Progress Bar: A visual meter shows how close you are to reaching the next level. Each correct answer fills the bar and moves you closer to advancing.

Achieving Advanced

Once you achieve your Advanced badge, you’ve completed the skill! You won’t be able to practice it again, but this is a great opportunity to celebrate your progress and move on to new skills.

Tips for Success

  • Mistakes are part of learning; use them to continue learning!

  • If you miss a question, make sure to review the explanation of the correct answer.

  • Track your progress in Recently Practiced to see which skills you’ve mastered and which ones you should practice more.

Want to start using Adaptive Practice? Ask your teacher to unlock it for you!
