This feature will be available on January 15th, 2025.
As an administrator with the Pro Upgrade, you can create and assign common assignments to provide all students with aligned practice that teachers and other admins can use to identify subject, grade, campus, or district-level trends. Common assignments are created using the same Assignment Builder process as typical Albert assignments. Once created, administrators can assign common assignments to all students within their school or district license.
Note: This feature is only available to the admin with the Pro Upgrade. Ready to see Admin Created Assignments in action? Email us at success@albert.io to set up a live demo.
How can I use Admin Created Assignments?
Admin created assignments can help your campus or district meet its instructional goals by providing students with diagnostic assessments, exposure to mock exams, standard-aligned formative assessments, and more!
Assigning Pre-Made Assessments
Our pre-made assessments are designed to provide students with practice that mimics the question style and content of high-stakes exams, including AP®, ACT®, SAT®, and end-of-course exams for select states. Examples of best practices include:
Assigning AP® diagnostics to ensure all students have the appropriate class placement.
Assigning a full-length practice ACT® exam to better understand how students will perform on high-stakes exams.
Assigning a topic quiz aligned with your state exam to a select cohort of students, then supporting teachers in developing study plans based on data.
Formative Assignments
Standard-aligned formative assignments can support instructional goals by focusing on high-priority standards or concepts. These shared formative assignments can provide teachers and stakeholders with data to identify department, campus, or district-level student mastery and develop instructional intervention plans. Suggested use cases include:
Creating and assigning quizzes aligned to high-priority standards for cohorts of students, then supporting teachers in data review and action planning.
Building intervention assignments for students needing additional support.
Fidelity of Implementation
The more questions students answer on Albert, the better they perform on high-stakes exams. Common assignments can help teachers reach goals related to the number of questions answered on Albert in a given timeframe, boost student engagement, and close learning gaps with quick, targeted practice opportunities. Sample use cases include:
Assigning weekly quizzes for teachers who need support reaching usage goals.
Assigning remediation practice targeting historically low-performing standards to close student learning gaps.
[Pro-tip]: If any of the above use cases would be best implemented by a teacher leader, department head, instructional lead, etc., they can do so with admin permissions. Email schools@albert.io to ensure they have correct access.
