When teachers assign an assessment or practice exam on Albert, they can choose to set a time limit for the assessment.

Option 1: Using the Suggested Time Limit

Each assessment comes with a suggested time limit. For full-length AP®, ACT®, SAT®, or state assessment practice exams, the suggested time limit will mirror the actual exam. If you wish to assign an assessment in sections, each section has its suggested time limit.

To set the timer to the suggested time limit, enter the prescribed minutes in the Time Limit (minutes) box on step two of the assignment flow.

Option 2: Setting a Custom Time Limit

If you want to set a custom time limit for your assignment, you can type whatever time limit you would like in the Time Limit (minutes) in step two of the assignment flow.

To remove the timer, leave the box blank.

Option 3: Setting a Custom Time Limit when using Assignment Builder

When you have created an assessment in Assignment Builder, you can choose one time limit for all classes or click Customize next to each individual class to change the timers for each classroom.

To set a timer for individual students, click the arrow next to the student’s class, then click Customize next to the student's name. Next, adjust the timer for each specific student as needed. Be sure to click Done next to the student's name to save the custom settings.
