Allowing students to re-submit an assignment is useful when they accidentally submit an assignment before completing it or when you want to provide them with another opportunity to demonstrate mastery.
To learn how to reset the submission status of an assignment for a particular student in your class, follow the steps below:
Note: This method is only possible if the student has not answered all the questions and the assignment time limit has not expired.
Click the Reports tab. Alternatively, you can click on the assignment within the assignments tab within a class to navigate directly to the relevant Report.
Select a Class.
Select an Assignment using the Drilldown button.
Select a Student and either click the Actions drop-down menu or select the submission status within the Status column.
Click Reset Submission Status.
Confirm by selecting Reset Status.
If you'd like to remove the timer from the assignment, this can be done by editing the assignment settings. If the timer has elapsed or your student answered all questions, you can reassign the assignment to them instead.
