When creating an assignment, you can randomize the question order for students. While the questions remain the same, this option helps encourage independent work.

If assigning from the Assignment Builder:

  1. Select the class(es) you want to assign the assignment to.

  2. In Default Recipient Settings, you can select Randomize Question Order. This can be done as the default settings for all classes, for a single class, or you can customize select student settings to randomize their question order.

  3. Submit your assignment and your selected students will receive their questions in a randomized order.

If assigning from a Folder:

  1. Select your Folder by clicking the Assignments tab in the main toolbar and selecting Folders.

  2. If assigning from the Default Editor, in Assignment Options, you can select Randomize question order per student to randomize the question order for all students.

  3. Submit your assignment and all students will receive their questions in a randomized order.

Note: Once students submit assignments, questions will return to the standard order making for easy, whole-class review!ย
