How do I answer assignment questions?

When you complete an assignment on Albert, your answers save automatically as you go. What you see after answering depends on the settings your teacher chose.

Note: These feedback options apply to auto-graded questions like multiple choice. Free-response questions (FRQs) are graded by your teacher, so your grade and feedback appear once your teacher finishes grading and releases them. Learn how to answer FRQs.

For assignments that are set to show answers and explanations immediately:

  1. Input your response to the given question.

  2. Click Submit Answer to see whether you got the question right, along with the explanation. You won't be able to change your answer to this question.

  3. Alternatively, you can click Next before or after you select an answer. You will be able to change your answer before submitting your assignment.

For assignments that are set to show answers and explanations upon assignment submission or after the due date:

  1. Input your response to the given question.

  2. Click Next before or after you select an answer. You can change your answer any time before you submit the assignment.

When you are ready to finish the assignment, you can click on the End Assignment Dropdown and click Submit Assignment.

Tips:

  • If you end and submit before answering all questions, any multiple-choice question you left blank is marked incorrect. A free response question (FRQ) you left blank isn't marked right or wrong. It waits for your teacher to grade it.

  • You can use the dropdown at the top to navigate between questions:

  • If you submit the assignment before answering all questions, a notification will pop up prompting you to either continue working or submit as incomplete.

  • When you submit an assignment with every question answered, you'll see a confirmation pop-up.
