To configure a Clever rostering integration for your school or district, you must also configure an SSO integration.

Instructions for configuring a Clever SSO integration can be found here.

Note: You do not need to wait until your SSO integration request is approved to start setting up the rostering integration. We recommend submitting your Rostering request immediately after you submit your SSO request so we can approve both requests at the same time.

Once you have sent an SSO integration request, or if you already have an SSO integration setup, follow these steps to setup the rostering integration:

  1. Login to Clever as a district administrator.

  2. From the home tab, click into the search bar and type “Albert roster.”

  3. Click on the Albert (Rostering) app that is labeled as “Rostering.”

  4. Beneath “Get started” fill out the form to send an integration request. Select “No Custom Launch Date” if you would like to launch your integration immediately. Otherwise, select your desired launch date for the integration.

  5. You will receive an email notification once someone from our team approves your request.

  6. Click the link from the email or login to your Clever dashboard. If you login to the Clever dashboard:

    1. From the home tab, click into the search bar and type “Albert.”

    2. Click on the Albert (Rostering) app that is labeled as “Rostering.”

    3. Click Begin setup.

  7. Complete the Clever sharing wizard. Select the sharing rules according to your school’s licensing needs. Keep the following in mind.

    1. You should use the same sharing rules for your SSO and rostering integrations.

      1. If a teacher is shared with the SSO app, but not the rostering app, they will be able to login to Albert with Clever, but will not be able to import their roster from Clever.

      2. If a teacher is shared with the rostering app, but not the SSO app, they will not be able to login with Clever and also will not be able to import their roster from Clever.

    2. We recommend sharing by section. If you share a section with Albert, all of its teachers and students will also automatically be shared. You do not need to separately share teacher and student accounts.

    3. Sharing a user with us does not grant that user access to your license. Teachers will still need to be approved in Albert to access your license and students will only count towards your license seats if they are enrolled in a licensed teacher’s class.

    4. We do not process “staff” records. To create admins in Albert, reach out to your account manager.

  8. After you complete the wizard, you should see a green “Launched” badge next to the Albert app if your integration has launched or a yellow “Launch Date: mm/dd/yy” badge with your custom launch date if your launch date was scheduled for the future.

  9. You will receive an email once your Albert account manager has reviewed the data you've shared and completed some additional configuration steps on their end. Teachers will not be able to import rosters until you receive this email!
