Creating assignments on Albert is the best way for teachers to give students specific content, customize how they receive explanations, and gather student data on specific content or standards.
There are TWO ways to create an assignment:
- Assign All Method. You can assign an entire topic or subtopic with the click of a button. This is the quickest and easiest way to create an assignment because you can just use on of Albert's guide levels.
- Go to the subject you would like to create an assignment (e.g. AP Biology).
- Click the green Assign All button to the right of any topic you would like to assign. If you are a free user, you will only see the button for free topics.
- Select the classes or students to assign questions to. Click Next.
- Fill out the assignment options form, then click the green Submit button at the bottom of the page.
- Template Method. You can customize an assignment by adding/removing questions or rearranging the question order with the template method.
The Template Method:
The Template Method is a great way to customize an assignment for your students.
- Go to the subject you would like to create an assignment (e.g. AP Biology).
- Click on a topic.
- Select some questions from the questions list and you will see a gray area at the bottom of the question list with a button called "Add questions to template".
- By clicking on that button, you will be asked to select a template to add those questions to.
- Do this until you have added all of the questions you would like to a template.
- To assign the template go into your "Classes" tab, select a class, click on the "Assignments" sub-tab, and you will see "Templates". Each template has an option to "Create Assignment" from that template.
