The following directions are directed at your students.

You can copy and paste the directions and then share them directly with students on your Learning Management System (Google Classroom, Schoology, Canvas, etc.), via email, or on your class website.

Step 1: Directing students to create an account

 (Note: If students have a Google or Clever account, they should use Clever or Google sign-in and skip confirming their account via email. You can find more information on signing in with Google here.)

How to create an account

  1. Go to Click Sign-Up in the top-right corner.

  2. Fill in the required information (the boxes with red stars).

  3. Click Sign-up.

  4. A confirmation email will be sent to you. Use the link in the email to confirm your account, then follow the on-screen prompts to activate your account.

Step 2 - Directing students to join your class with the class enrollment code

How to join your Albert class when your teacher has sent an email invitation

  1. When you receive an email invitation to join your teacher’s class, check to see which email address has been invited.

  2. Go to

  3. Log-in with the same email that has been invited

  4. Look for your classes in your ‘Classes’ tab

How to join your Albert class when your teacher uses Google Classroom sync

  1. Go to

  2. Log-in to Albert using the same email that you use for Google Classroom

  3. Look for your classes in your ‘Classes’ tab

How to join your Albert class with the class enrollment code

  1. After logging into Albert, click on the Classes tab at the top of the page

  2. Click on the green "Join Class" button in the top right corner 

  3. Finally, add our unique class code: INSERT YOUR CLASS CODE HERE (the class code is case sensitive)

Note: Teachers can find their unique class code by clicking into a class, selecting the People tab, selecting the Invite Students button, and the Display class code button.

When inviting students via emailed invitation or Google Classroom sync, students that already have an Albert account can accept the invitation directly on Albert and will appear as "enrolled." Students listed as "invited" must create their Albert accounts to accept the invitation.

Step 3 - Directing students to begin practicing on Albert

Note: Once you have assigned Albert practice, direct students to complete the relevant assignments on their class dashboard. If you’re using Albert for independent practice, you can learn more about that here.

How to begin practicing on Albert

  1. Click the Classes tab, then click on the class you would like to work on. Note: You will see any past due assignments to the left of your screen. 

  2. The Assignments tab will show any active assignments you have. Click on the assignment you wish to work on.

  3. Click Start Assignment or Continue Assignment. Note: Any assignments with a time limit should be completed in a single session.
