How do I assign an assessment?

Learn how licensed teachers can assign Albert-curated assessments to students.

Many subjects include cumulative, diagnostic, and formative assessments. This article will outline a few different ways to assign these exams.

How to assign an entire assessment:

  1. Navigate to your subject and find the Assessments tab.

  2. Find your desired assessment.

  3. Click on the three dots (or “kabobs”) next to the assessment title. [Pro-tip]: Ensure you’ve selected the kabob next to the assessment title, not one of the sections below.

  4. Click Assign All. This action will assign all of the questions in the assessment.

How to Smart Assign an assessment:

  1. Navigate to your subject and find the Assessments tab.

  2. Find your desired assessment.

  3. Click on the three dots (or "kabobs") next to the assessment title.

  4. Click Smart Assign.

  5. Choose the number of questions that you'd like to assign and then select Next

How to assign a custom assessment using folders:

  1. Navigate to your subject and find the Assessments tab.

  2. Choose your desired assessment(s).

  3. Select the questions that you'd like to use by checking the box next to the question title.

  4. Click Add to Folder.

  5. Navigate to a different assessment or subject and repeat the process for any other questions that you'd like to add to the folder.

  6. Go to the Folders tab and assign your custom assessment.
